Brock Lesnar is my favorite MMA fighter. He has fought 7 times now and I have made sure I have seen 6 of his fights. The only one I missed was his very first one which was not broadcasted in the USA - I don't think. The man is a beast. I pick him to win every time, and every time I hear every reason in the world why he is going to lose. At the end of the fight Brock’s hand is normally raised in victory. But that was not what transpired last night.
I should have seen this coming. Everyone started to pick Brock Lesnar to beat Cain Velasquez. My friend Matt who got me into MMA could give me no reason why Brock Lesnar was going lose. My friend Richard who will swear to me that Brock Lesnar is not a very good MMA fighter, thought Brock was going to win.
Well last Saturday Cain Velasquez destroyed Brock Lesnar. The fight lasted 4 minutes and 12 seconds before the official stopped the fight. The only way to describe Brock’s loss was that it was brutal. Brock had maybe 30 seconds or so of the fight where I had some hope but once Cain started to land his punches you knew it was only a matter of time. At the end of the fight Brock's face looked so badly beat up that Cain almost got arrested for assault.
The rest of the card was pretty good. I had a lot of fun with my friends Buzz and Richard over. I probabl;y didn't pay as much attention to the under card as much as other because I was having a lot of fun with Richard and Buzz. This was probably my last UFC show for the year and it was a great show to end it on.
