A day with the Boys

The first official blog of September, which means I have officially kept up with this for three months now. I will admit I did kind of cheat last month with all the pictures but what can I say I was excited I learned how to do that.

So the best part of this week for me was last Wednesday. We did not have a baby sitter to watch Lex and Jack so I was lucky enough to get the day off and spend it with the boys. For the most part we had an awesome time. The morning started off a little rough, all thanks to the fine people at Mr. Tire. Please don’t get me wrong, everyone there was incredible nice and I know customer service does go a long way. But come on three and a half hours with two children. The thing that drove me crazy was all I was getting done was an oil change and I was having them rotate my tires. I told Lisa that I could have done it myself and take three and a half hours and I have no clue as to what I would be doing. All things considered the boys were very well behaved while we waited.

After we left there we stopped at my parents’ house…. The boy’s fell asleep on the ride over and napped until about 1:30. At that point we had found out Lisa had gotten out of school early and we were going to meet her and Uncle Buzz at the mall. Lisa decided to go back to her work to get prepared for her home school meeting that night. So we hung out at the mall and threw pennies into the fountain, and went through toy stores until it was time to go. Probably the two best moments from our mall experience was Lex telling me he wanted to take Uncle Buzz to the book store, It took a three year old to get Buzz into a book store, if only we would have known this when we were in college. The other great moment was when I told Lex we were out of pennies he did not believe me. So he went through my pocket and found the tin that had the pennies in it. I then was told by Lex, “See day they are right there we have plenty of pennies left.” I am pretty sure I have contributed to at least $0.75 in the White Marsh Mall fountain this week.

After the mall we picked up some dinner and met Lisa at her new school. Lisa is now teaching middle school Math and Science at Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke in Dundalk. It was weird walking into the building. My mother taught there YEARS ago. I think it may have been 15 years since I was last in the building.

After that the boys and I went home played some video games, and watched Tom & Jerry. It was a much need, very good day.

I am preparing myself for a Fantasy Football draft right now. So I am going to end this here. This is my third and final fantasy football draft. I will try and post another post tomorrow with some more fun things and talk some about Fantasy Football this season.
